A new snake species to Tennesee was discovered at the end of May.
New snake species found after it attempted to cross the road.

Recent discoveries was a new species of snake (to Tennessee) found near Benton, Tennessee, was a Mole Kingsnake. Rarely seen where it occours more frequently in the Mid-Atlantic states. In these states it is rarely ever seen because it spends most of its time below ground. (See photograph below)
